Discovering nearby walking trails and hidden beaches will enhance your enjoyment of the area. Lobster pounds and art galleries are scattered throughout the peninsula. A short drive up the peninsula will take you to the restaurants, galleries, and shops of Rockland. A bit further up the road will take you to the quaint village of Camden "where the mountains meet the sea."

An equidistant drive down the peninsula will take you to the villages of Tenant's Harbor and Port Clyde from which you can take the morning mailboat to the incredibly beautiful island of Monhegan.
